GETTING OUR COLLECTIVE ACT TOGETHER

Let’s picture that there could be a web site where all NGOs, activist groups and individuals could go to display legislative acts/statutes/decrees that must (if we are to make any impact whatsoever) be speedily transformed into legislative law. Any of these proposed submissions could be taken and used as political policy/platform or could be accepted and tweaked by any nation into acts/statutes/decrees which could also be included in larger Omnibus Bills.

Let`s suppose that this suggested host site team has only one primary objective and that is to gather proposed acts into one place and does not itself directly influence the content of any act that is proposed and submitted.

Let`s suppose that the host site will categorize, index and number each submission before adding it to the site for ease of identification and location.

Let`s suppose that the host site offers a standard template for the writing of all such proposed acts/statutes/decrees to maintain uniformity of presentation and ease of comprehension by the average person.

Let’s suppose that these acts/statutes/decrees would be on this one web site where anyone could read them and offer editorial input into additional clauses etc.

Let’s suppose that this data base would be applicable and accessible to everyone on the planet and not just applicable to a single nation, province, territory or state.

Let’s suppose that these proposed acts additionally could be used as material for petitions, political campaigns etc.

Let’s suppose that visitors to the hosting site could register on the site to show solidarity with the movement and to be informed as new acts are added or activities initiated.

Let’s suppose that everyone would identity with this movement as the ultimate effort to correct injustice everywhere on the planet without reference to borders or nationality.

Let’s consider that this site where we collect acts/statutes/decrees might be called A.C.T. or ACT. (A personal favorite as it the root of action, active, activism and activist)

As ACT is an acronym for AD CURAM TERRAE or “in the service of earth” let’s use that unless someone has a worthier idea (The Latin might take some of the sting out using English predominately.)

Let’s consider that our collective mission and “call to arms” might be ACT NOW as these six letters express both action and urgency. It is also both a call to action and a people’s directive to our politicians and governments.

Let’s consider using ACT UP and ACT OUT as the justification to be mildly civilly disobedient in spreading the word and recruiting others to the movement worldwide. (One dictionary says in part – Represent passionately - To express in an evident action, without regard for social appropriateness)

Let`s consider the planning stage as GETTING OUR ACT TOGETHER.

Let`s consider that activists might be dubbed as ACT ACTIVISTS

Let`s suppose that we could adopt a simple color banner and ribbon to rally under. I suggest the color terra cotta as it means burnt earth which is very appropriate for our time in history.

Let’s suppose that we could use all outgoing email to carry a signature message. IE “I support ACT” or “ACT NOW”

Let’s suppose that other nations could have their own parallel sites in their own language like ACT.fr or ACT.rs or ACT.dk

SUMMARY OF GETTING OUR COLLECTIVE ACT TOGETHER

A web site is setup to display proposed legislative acts with the purpose of ultimately improving the welfare of both people and planet alike.

The host website prepares a blank form in a standard format on which all proposed legislative acts can be written.

The standard format form is sent to the thousands of NGOs and activist groups who have a clearly established mission and agenda.

NGOs, activists etc. continue to operate independently as always, but they are asked to complete the proposed legislative act/document that lays out their objectives as though it were being submitted for inclusion into a pending omnibus bill. When completed this is then sent to the host site.

The host website codes and indexes the proposed legislative act/document and adds it to the site.

The host site then helps to promote the objectives of everyone everywhere trying to establish some influence on politicians and governments everywhere.

The host site becomes a prime source for legislation designed for the sole purpose of reducing the destruction of the planet and improving the welfare of people.

The site could provide services as agreed upon by the host staff and volunteers (whoever they might be)

Help find concerned people who could take over this idea by using your email and social media.

Draft up a sample form with standard format.

Develop the indexing system to accommodate any and all issues.

Write up a sample act.

Suggest ideas on how to proceed.

Suggest ways to raise money. (I buy lottery tickets)

Find someone with influence and money to give it a kick start.

Arrange a face to face meeting to debate this idea.

Leave it to corporate think tanks sponsored by corporate lackeys and money to write up legislative acts for government and suffer the consequences.

Walk away and do nothing.
